What drives the price
Genuine, OEM supplier, aftermarket
Genuine compressors come charged with the right oil volume and the right control valve. On a variable-displacement compressor that matters — the wrong oil charge kills the new unit.
Behar, Denso, Valeo and Nissens supply most of what is in the marque box. A Nissens condenser or a Denso compressor is the same part with a shorter invoice.
Aftermarket is safe on condensers, cabin filters, receiver-driers and O-ring kits. Blend actuators and final stage units are cheap in OEM and notorious in generic — buy them once.
